Techniflo Heavy Duty Magnetic Drive Pumps
The Techniflo pumps achieves high value in use for its sealless mag drive centrifugal pumps with the aid of hot corrosive liquid/ Acid-resistant components of DuPont™ Tefzel® ETFE.
The Techniflo centrifugal pumps utilise some of the most advanced materials throughout the entire pump.
Casing
The ductile iron casing is lined with a minimum 1/8 in. (3 mm) of extremely high abrasion resistance Tefzel® material. Tefzel® has similar abrasive characters as polyurethane whilst belonging to a class of corrosion resistant Virgin Teflon®.
Impeller
These mag drive pumps impeller and the body of its containment shell are injection moulded from a carbon-fibre-reinforced grade of Tefzel®. The most distinctive feature of this heavy-duty centrifugal pump is the patented one-piece, thrust balanced impeller assembly. The thrust balancing system eliminates axial bearing problems associated with low-suction-pressure operation, cavitation conditions or when pumping volatile liquids.
Containment Shell
A pressure-resistant outer housing for the containment shell is made of a composite based on DuPont™ Kevlar® fibre.
This innovative design pump is hermetically sealed to provide leak-free pumping of hot corrosive liquids and acid's. A high-strength, magnetically driven impeller eliminates the need for a mechanical seal. Techniflo Mag-Drive centrifugal pumps are engineered for continuous duty, meet ANSI and ISO dimensions with a rugged close- or long-couple design. Power consumption ranges from 1 to 75 HP (0.7 to 56 kW), flows to 1500 gpm (5678 L/min) and heads to 500 ft (152 m).
The pumps serve the chemical, pharmaceutical, electronic, mining and steel processing industries in applications such as feeding reactors, hot corrosive liquid transfers from tank to tank or unloading trucks and rail cars.
