The zero leakage system (ZLS) is a compound in a few different styles to be able to handle every application in the industries. This compound is able to withstand many fluids and will replace the old style gland packing.
This compound was invented to replace gland packing and many out of date mechanical seals. This is a very simple system being that you do not have to dismantle the pump and is highly economical.
All Pumps Argentina recently contact the local Coca Cola plant in Argentina and were able to help them in their pumping needs. One of the problems they had was the main water feed pumps had sealing problems. All Pumps Argentina were able to replace the conventional sealing technology they had installed with ZLS on these pumps. Because of the nature of the installation these pumps suffered from cavitation on occasional dry running. Neither of these issues affected the performance of the ZLS. From the date of installation of the ZLS sealing system, mean time between failures was dramatically increased. Where a sealing was lasting between 4 and 5 months the ZLS required the 1st top up injection only after 4 months (yes, just a top up not a replacement of compound. What a time & money saver?) and is still running successfully today nearly 2 years later.
